Det finns vackra historiska byar i närheten, till exempel Ameide och Nieuwpoort, som är tillgängliga med cykel. Mycket rekommenderat är färjan till Schoonhoven, silverstaden. På 60 km från huset ligger huvudstaden Amsterdam, som är väl värd ett besök.
